Uplift work under way in Charsadda

CHARSADDA, Aug 19: District Nazim Naseer Mohammad Khan has said that despite limited resources, the government has initiated a record number of development schemes in Charsadda.

Speaking at public meetings here on Sunday, he said that the work on welfare projects worth Rs350 million in the sanitation, communication, education and health sectors was in progress in different parts of the district.

Besides, allocating Rs1.5 million to each union council, the construction of a vocational institute and a college for women in Tangi and various link roads was taken in hand.

The district Nazim said that a sanitation project was being executed at a cost of Rs7 million in the Rajjar union council-I.
