Rs290.79m Mardan budget presented

MARDAN, Nov 7: District Nazim of Mardan Haji Raza Khan presented Rs290.792 million annual budget for 2001-2002 at the district assembly session here on Tuesday.

While speaking at the session, Haji Raza Khan disclosed that total resources of the district were estimated at Rs290.792 million out of which Rs180.783 were allocated for the developmental works that would create opportunities for social activities and prosperity in the district.

He said that despite resources constraint no new tax had been levied. Haji Raza said that in future efforts would be made with the cooperation of the elected councillors to create more resources that would help reduce the expenditures of the district.
