BUNER, Nov 7: The Naib Nazims of 27 union councils of Buner district at a meeting at Daggar here on Wednesday formed a six-member committee to protect their rights.

The committee, named as “Muttahida Naib Nazims Rabita Committee” includes Munshi Raza, Chairman, and Mohammad Saeed, Syed Taj Ali Shah, Asghar Khan, Mohammad Zeb and Shamsul Zahir, members.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, Munshi Raza and Adalat Khan advocate said that the district Nazim had promised that a building would be provided for the tehsil council soon, but despite the passage of three months, nothing had been done on that front.

They made it clear that the district council, which had approved the first budget, had usurped the rights of the tehsil council and used the tehsil municipal office, but ignored the Naib Nazims in consultation on the budget.

Criticizing the attitude of the district Nazim and union council Nazims, the Naib Nazims said they would not tolerate injustices and would block all ways of spending the tehsil budget by district councillors.
