Re-evaluation dividend

BAHAWALPUR, Aug 17: The top three positions in BA first annual examination, 2002, of the local Islamia University were changed following re-evaluation of English B paper of a candidate who had earlier failed in the paper.

According to the university’s revised notification, Muhammad Kamran Ali (Roll No 9645) of the Government Khwaja Farid College, Rahim Yar Khan, had clinched overall first position by securing 650 marks. Earlier, he was failed in English B paper with 29 marks.

Samer Sadia, who was earlier declared overall first with 642 marks, has been declared second and Asia Rahman and Ayesha Sahar, who had secured 636 marks each and were declared overall second, have now been placed third.

When contacted, the university’s controller of examination claimed the positions could be changed after rectifying any error in the preliminary results.
