PESHAWAR, Aug 17: The students of Masters of Public Administration of Institute of Management Sciences (IMS autonomous), affiliated to Peshawar University have appealed to the concerned authorities to announce their results being withheld for almost a year.
The written statement, faxed to the press by the affected students, said that the results have been withheld due to the rift between Directors of Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar and Institute of Management Sciences (affiliated).
It said, the students had fulfilled all requirements for obtaining their degrees, however, results of the three subjects: Economics, Financial Administration and Basic Marketing, which the students studied in the Ist and 2nd semesters have been withheld by respective teachers.
The students said that they had requested the director of IMS (affiliated) Dr Hidayatullah to take the matter up with the concerned quarters. But, despite their repeated requests and his assurances, nothing has been done yet.
It said that the students resubmitted their assignments on the said subjects on the directives of IMS (affiliated) and were assured that results would be declared.
The assignments were given to Dr Mumtaz Bangash of IMS University of Peshawar in June 2002.
He promised that results would be passed on to IMS (affiliated).
However, the results are still awaited as neither Dr Bangash nor Dr Hidayatullah pursued it further.—APP
