Court allows Mukhtar to visit US

LAHORE, Aug 16: The Lahore High Court allowed PPP leader Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar to visit the United States for 10 days on Friday.

Mr Mukhtar’s name has been placed on the exit control list as he is facing trial before an accountability court.

He said one of his brothers was undergoing medical treatment in the United States and he had been urgently called by him. The high court asked him to deposit Rs1 million as security for his return and allowed him to visit the US for 10 days.
