KARACHI Around 15 gunmen allegedly belonging to a prominent MNA ransacked the office of the Lyari Development Authority in the Hawkesbay area of Karachi on Monday.
           
According to LDA officials, the gunmen forced their way into the office and threatened the staff of dire consequences if they continue to work on a disputed land project.

Later on the gunmen surrounded the Mauripur police station and forced it to shut down.

The standoff continues depite passage of several hours, DawnNews reported.
