LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 12: District Nazim Humayun Saifullah Khan has said that a record number of development schemes have been completed during the last one year by the district government.

During a meeting with the elected representatives of Union Council Darra Pezu on Sunday, he said over Rs 280 million had been allocated for development activities in the district for the current year.

This amount would be released soon to all the union councils, he added.

He asked the Nazimeen and councillors to play their role to make the local government system a success, which, he hoped, would ensure to increase civic facilities to the people. He said the elected representatives had to point out core problems of their areas to enable the district government solve it under its  phased programme.
