PESHAWAR, Aug 12: The Inspector of Police, NWFP, Mohammad Saeed Khan has said that plantation of trees was more important to provide pollution free environment to the people of the city.
While planting a tree at the premises of police line here on Monday, the IGP was appreciative of the Peshawar campus of the Iqra University for launching tree plantation drive in the city.
On the occasion, project director of the Iqra University, Obaidur Rehman, said that his institution would plant about 20,000 saplings at all the key locations in the city during its plantation campaign, which he said would continue till Aug 20.
The campaign, he said was aimed at beautification of the city.
