KARACHI, Aug 10: To complete its stringing under the KESC sixth-power project, the KESC 132-KV double-circuit Baldia/Tapal transmission line will remain under shutdown on three consecutive Sundays — ie Aug 11, Aug 18 and Aug 25 — for a duration of about 10 hours starting at 8am, says a press release.

“The consumers getting supply from Hub, Vinder, Uthal and Bela grid stations are also notified that their supply will be interrupted for a few minutes in the morning around 8am and in the evening around 6pm on each Sunday.”

The press release adds that there will be interruption of three hours on Aug 11 in the morning for the consumers fed from Mobile Grid connected to transmission line at Baldia grid.

“The affected feeders will be the Sindh Constabulary pole 29, Jara Sahib Saeed Abad and Alif Lyla while the affected areas will include Mawach Goth, Sector 5-G. Meanwhile the KESC has also sent notices to some of its consumers Tapal Energy Plant, Attock Cement, Dawood Yamaha and Hub Industrial Estate.”
