KARACHI, Aug 8: The Italian Consulate at Karachi has closed its visa section for public access indefinitely, for security reasons.

The decision, conveyed through a press release on Thursday, said “for security reasons it is closing the visa section for public access, therefore visa operation will be restricted until further notice.”

A drop box visa facility system will be initiated from Aug 12 for all sorts of categories of applicants, for the residents of Sindh and Balochistan.

Those desirous of obtaining Italian visa have been advised to apply through a drop box facility which is available in Karachi, Quetta and Hyderabad.
