JHANG, Aug 6: Thirteen (13) employees of the Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan, Shorkot branch, have been suspended and transferred from their present assignments by the ADBP chairman for an alleged fraud of Rs 6million.

Managers Tariq Saeed, Malik Akram and the present manager, Hanif Sail, are alleged to have withdrawn the amount against bogus names, using fake agricultural passbooks, showing land eroded by the river, as mortgaged property.

The other suspended employees are: Latif Somro, Jamil Ahmad, Ziaullah, Khadim Hussain, Riaz Sipra, Latif Sabir, Anwarul Haque and cashier Liaqat Ali.

Meanwhile, the ADBP vigilance department has seized relevant record.
