ISLAMABAD, Aug 4: The police of the twin cities are trying to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of two teenaged girl students of class 9.
The police said the girls, residents of Sector G-8/1, left their homes for the tuition centre last Thursday but did not return. On Saturday, the parents of the girls received an anonymous call, telling them that the girls were safe in Shekhupura and would be returning home on Sunday.
The girls arrived at Pirwadhai bus stand from Sheikhupura on Sunday morning. On arriving at Pirwadhai, the bus driver, who brought the two girls to Rawalpindi, hired a taxi (RIR-8524) and directed its driver to drop the girls at their houses. But, they again disappeared from Pirwadhai, the Margalla police quoted the bus driver as saying.
When the Pirwadhai police were contacted, the duty officer said he had no knowledge about the missing girls.
