PTI forms body to allocate tickets

LAHORE, Aug 4: Punjab chapter of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf formed here on Sunday a nine-member provincial parliamentary board to grant party tickets to the candidates to the National and Punjab Assembly seats.

The board is headed by the Punjab PTI president Mian Sajid Pervez. Its members include Mian Muhammad Farooq, Mrs Munazza Hasan, Rao Aftab Ahmad, Rana Khalid Dar Khan, Sohail Ahmad Khan, Bashir Ahmad Chaudhry and Chaudhry Wajid Ali Khan.

An election cell was also constituted at the first meeting of the newly elected Punjab body under Mahmood Shah.

It was decided that candidates to the Provincial and National Assemblies should submit their applications to the board by Aug 12 with the prescribed fee.
