RAWALPINDI, July 30: Red Crescent Society’s Rawalpindi chapter is in a shambles and problems continue to undermine the organization since most of the dispensaries have not received medicines for the past several months.

Sources said the last batch of medicines released to the dispensaries was on March 18 this year. Patients depending on these dispensaries said they were fast losing faith in the efficacy of the Red Crescent system.

The blood bank set up at the society’s main office in Satellite Town closed down some years back and patients had no place to go in emergency, especially if, they did not have donors with them.
