LAHORE, July 28: Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that the continued US silence over the air raids on Palestinian localities has exposed the hollowness of the American civilization.

Speaking at a meeting held at the Hamdard Centre here on Sunday evening to condemn the recent Israeli air raids leading to the martyrdom of Hamas leader Sheikh Salah Shahada and a number of Palestinians, the Qazi said that the US often asked India and Pakistan to desist from using the armament acquired from it against each other but was mum on the use of its F-16s by the Isarali forces in air attacks on Palestinians.

He said that the US was the biggest terrorist of the world but claimed to be waging a war against terrorism and accusing the Muslims of being terrorists. He said that the government had turned Pakistan into an American colony where every Muslim coming from any other country was suspected.

He said that the happenings in Palestine, Chechnya, Afghanistan and Kashmir were the indicators of the growing awakening in the Muslim Ummat. He said that the allies had never expected never ending resistance in Palestine when they decided to turn it into a Zionist state. Stressing the need for keeping the spirit of jihad alive, he said that no obody to suppress the spirit. —Reporter
