KOHAT, July 28: An attestation parade of the recruits from Corps of Signals was held at the Signal Training Centre here, said an ISPR press release on Sunday.

Maj-Gen Mohammad Waheed Akhtar Malik, director-general of the Special Communication Organization, reviewed the parade and took the salute.

Speaking at the parade, he said they were embarking on a highly specialized career in a challenging environment. He advised them to work hard and enhance their technical know-how to remain in step with the fast changing world.

“Changing environment in the region and advancement in the information technology suggest that we should keep ourselves abreast of the latest advancements and continue to work for excellence in the field,” Maj-Gen Waheed Akhtar said.

Later, the chief guest gave away prizes to the recruits who had excelled in various fields.

The Commandant of the Signals Training Centre, Brig Ghulam Hafiz, briefed the chief guest about the training centre.
