KARACHI, July 27: The University of Karachi on Saturday announced the results of BDS (first and second professional) annual examinations 2002.

According to KU statistics, 135 students appeared in the BDS first professional exams, out of whom 101 were declared pass, while in the second professional exams the number of candidates appearing in exam remained 90, out of whom 70 passed the exams. The pass percentage in the first professional exams remained 74.81, while in the second it was 77.78.

Najma Qureshi, seat No 1061, of the Fatima Jinnah College, clinched the first position by obtaining 514 out of 600 marks. Second and third positions went to Rabia Najmi, seat No 1134, of Jinnah Medical College, and Sanam Tauhid, seat No 1066, of the Fatima Jinnah Dental College.

In the second professional exams, Rashna Firoze Aga, seat No 2083, of the FJDC, was placed on top of the merit list as she secured 796 out of 1,000 marks. Marium Zaheer, seat No 2014, of Karachi Medical and Dental College, bagged second position, while Shahla Atiq, seat No 2093, of the Fatima Jinnah Dental College got third position.— Staff Reporter
