HYDERABAD, July 25: The DCO, Hyderabad, Mir Hussain Ali, has directed the officials concerned to ensure that facilities are being provided to cattle owners at the Cattle Colony, situated on Tando Mohammad Khan road.
He was presiding over a meeting, which discussed ways and means to resolve the problems of cattle owners at the cattle colony, at his office here on Thursday.
The representatives of the Cattle Welfare Association, Cattle Colony, led by Haji Ghulam Ahmed Nagori, also attended the meeting.
The DCO said that he would inspect the cattle colony to ascertain the problems, being faced by cattle owners, to get them resolved at a meeting to be presided over by the district Nazim and attended by the officers of the line department and public representatives.
He said that integrated efforts were needed to keep the Hyderabad city clean from cattle and to fully utilize infrastructure made available with required facilities.
He said that once the cattle colony was fully populated, it would be tuned into a more fruitful business market of the district.
Taking notice of the unoccupied plots, he advised the allotees to take possession of the plots and shift their cattle to the colony to avoid action against cattle markets in the city, which would be taken soon.
