Zahid clobbers brilliant 121

HYDERABAD, July 24: Two more matches were decided on Wednesday in first All Hyderabad Dr. Muhammed Ali Shah Invitation cricket tournament, being organised by District Cricket Association, Hyderabad at Government Degree College Ground, Latifabad.

In the first match, Mir Mehmood Sports registered a massive victory of 240 runs over NAC Gymkhana. The winners managed a huge total of 344 runs in limited 40 overs, losing seven wickets. Zahid Khan played a superb knock of 121 runs while Irshad Soomro also played a fine innings of 70 runs. Asim Baloch claimed three wickets.

NAC Gymkhana was bundled out at 104 runs as a result of deadly bowling of Sajjad and Alam who clinched five and four wickets respectively.

In the second match, Al-Zain Sports defeated Mehboob Sports by four wickets. Mehboob Sports have made 261 runs. Amir Gulzar 43, Zulfiqar 38, Shahid 37 and Rashid 37 were the leading scorers.

Essa Khan, Waseem Khan and Qaiser Jameel shared two wickets each. In reply, Al-Zain Sports achieved the target in 33 overs losing six wickets. Zakir Meo 71, Shakir Meo 46 and Azeem 32 were the main scorers.—APP
