TOBA TEK SINGH, July 24: Two dacoits were killed in an encounter near Gojra on Tuesday night, police claimed.

They said that the dacoits — later identified as Muhammad Afzal and Imtiaz Ahmad — had looted the passengers of a bus on a link road. They had reached a petrol pump to loot it.

On information, a Nawan Lahore police party reached there and the dacoits opened fire.

The police retaliated, as a result both the dacoits were killed.

However, no policeman was hurt.

Police also claimed to have recovered arms from the encounter place.
