KARACHI, July 23: Chief controller of buildings, Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA), Brig Zafar Ahmed Malik (retired), has delegated powers to controller of buildings Syed Zafar Ali Qadri for approving plans of entire Karachi city district under the existing building and town planning regulations.

He directed the controllers of all zones and circles that in future all building plans be forwarded to Zafar Ali Qadri for approval.

Mr Qadri took over his new charge on Monday and directed all officials that before submitting the files to him the concerned assistant controllers should first inspect the sites and ensure that all documents submitted are properly stamped and met the planning rules and regulations.

He said the plans should be forwarded with recommendations under chapter and item number of new building and town planning regulations 2002 to ensure early disposal.—APP
