KARACHI, July 23: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, has received about 3,700 job applications against 49 posts of different grades, which were advertised in May.

A senior official in the Board said the number of applications received was beyond their expectations, but the Board has already started processing the applications and the appointments might be finalized in September.

1086, applications were received for 14 vacancies of junior clerk-cum-typist (BPS-5), which included applications from 19 females.

876 applied for five posts of peons (BPS- 1), followed by 462 applications for four posts of typists.

Applications for the posts of director physical education (one post), data centre officer (one), hardware maintenance supervisor (one), research associate (one), librarian (one) would be handled by the Board’s appointment committee, which had already got certain criteria regarding appointments.
