PESHAWAR, July 22: The city police have seized a large quantity of weapons and narcotics from a bicycle-rider on Murad Shah Baba Road, inside Kohati Gate, here on Monday.

A police team of Kabuli Police Station were on their routine patrol on Murad Shah Baba Road. In the meantime, a bicycle-rider appeared on the road with a big carton tied with ropes on the bicycle carrier. Upon seeing the police party, the man ran away, leaving the bicycle with the carton on the road.

During the search, the police recovered three pashpasha rifles, two repeaters, six 7mm rifles, eight pistols, three kilograms of hashish and a small quantity of heroin and opium.

Kabuli police have registered a case against unknown smugglers.
