Plans for 2 hospitals dropped

Published July 22, 2002

SWABI, July 21: The attitude of non-governmental organizations and  welfare bodies has scuttled the establishment of two hospitals, sources said on Sunday.

The sources said the Swedish government had planned to establish  a hospital for disabled children in the district. However, the plan could not materialize as the Swedish embassy doubted the welfare bodies.

They said a Karachi-based organization, Pavhna, also wanted to establish a hospital here but the negotiations failed in the final stage.
