GUJRANWALA, July 20: A bailiff recovered six kiln workers, including three children, from Ladheywala Warraich village and produced them before court here on Saturday.

Kiln owner Asif Iqbal had been detaining these people for the last one-and-a-half-year. Heirs of the victim family moved the district and sessions judge who deputed a bailiff to produce them before court. The bailiff raided the kiln and recovered Nusrat Bibi, her children Basharat, Usman, Noman and two others — Liaquat Ali and Riasat Ali.

The judge summoned the kiln owner on Monday.

CAUGHT: Six commission agents of Qila Dedar Singh’s grain market were caught red-handed while selling spurious pesticides by a joint raiding team of the agriculture and police here on Saturday.
