HYDERABAD, July 18: Half a dozen former employees of Zeal Pak Cement Factory continued their hunger strike outside the local press club here on the third consecutive day on Thursday.

They are protesting against the alleged fraud of the management and the former CBA union of the factory.

Talking to newsmen, Ikramuddin, S.M. Iqbal, Mir Mohammad Junejo and Syed Sardar Ali said that they were being threatened directly and indirectly by the management to call off the strike.

They, however, pledged to continue the struggle unless their dues of golden handshake, gratuity and provident fund were paid.

BDS STUDENT: A BDS student of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Shehzad Samejo, with his half a dozen supporters continued his hunger strike on the third consecutive day here on Thursday.

Samejo is protesting against the alleged discriminatory attitude of the university administration which is evident in declaring him fail by four marks intentionally.

The student alliance of the university has threatened to boycott classes and observe black day on Friday to express solidarity with Samejo.
