Carla not to represent Pakistan

Published July 18, 2002

ISLAMABAD, July 17: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has decided not to make any further efforts to have Carla Khan represent Pakistan at the Commonwealth Games later this month.

The British-born Carla, daughter of Wasil Khan and grand- daughter of the famous Azam Khan, was named on the team for the Games opening in Manchester on July 25.

However Tuesday the PSF was informed by the Games’s organisers that since Carla, world ranked 46, had lived in England for the “past few years” therefore she does not qualify to represent Pakistan.
