Man held for Nazim’s murder

MANSEHRA, July 17: The Kaghan police claimed to have arrested a person involved in the murder of Aftab Asghar Dar, an aide of former prime minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Nazim of Ravi Town, Lahore.

Aftab Asghar was killed on July 6 near Andhera Bela when he was on his  way to Naran with his family. The alleged killer, Alam Biyaz hails from the Palas area and is settled in Lambi Patti, police sources said.

The search for his two accomplices continues.

Three officers of the special investigation cell of Punjab police were also investigating the case in Naran for the last few days. The sources said the motive behind the murder was not known.
