ISLAMABAD, July 17: A three-member delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will call on President Pervez Musharraf here on Thursday.

The MQM leadership has been invited by the president as part of the consultative process initiated by the government to elicit public opinion about the constitutional amendment packages recently unveiled by the National Reconstruction Bureau.

The MQM, which has been partially supporting the constitutional packages, would also be consulted on the issue of provincial autonomy, a source said.

An MQM delegation comprising Aftab Sheikh, Nasreen Jalil and Sheikh Liaquat reached here on Wednesday night.
