KARACHI, July 17: Sindh Minister for Religious Affairs Maulana Wali Razi on Wednesday urged the Muslims to follow the Seerat of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).

Speaking at a Seerat meeting, organized by the Pakistan Herald Workers Union in the Muslim Gymkhana, he urged the Muslims to shun their differences and work for the greater unity and glory of the Ummah.

The minister said that by following the Seerat of the Holy Prophet we could achieve success in the life and the here-after.

On this occasion, the minister announced the names of successful Haj candidates after balloting.

Atif Khan and Mohammad Shamim, both from Dawn, Karachi, Jamshed Ahmed, Lahore, and Ishaq Chaudhry (Islamabad) will perform Haj, with the expenses to be borne by the Dawn Group of Newspapers.

The meeting was presided over by the resident of the PHWU, Latif Baloch. Earlier, Shafiuddin Ashraf, general secretary of the union, welcomed the minister.
