ISLAMABAD, July 16: Two brothers were shot dead in the early hours of Tuesday in Sihala, police said.
Noor Ahmed, the victims’ father, lodged an FIR with the Sihala police, saying he was sleeping in his room, while his two sons, Ehsanullah and Sharifullah, were in the courtyard when he heard gunshots. He added that when he came out, he found his sons lying in a pool of blood.
Sharifullah was killed on the spot, while Ehsanullah died in hospital, the police said.
Noor Ahmed, an Afghan national, told the police that he did not see anybody entering or leaving the house at the time the incident took place.
The police termed an old enmity as the motive behind the double murder. Three persons, identified by the police as, Syed Omer, Gul Omer and Mohammad Omer, have been named as the prime accused in the FIR.
The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem. The police are making efforts to arrest the killers.
CARS STOLEN: Three cars were stolen from different areas of Rawalpindi, police said on Tuesday.
Chaudhary Naseer Ahmed’s car (RIX-1491) and Ms Afzal’s car (IDF-6228) was stolen form the Civil Lines. Similarly, Zubair Mehmood’s car (GHA-355) was lifted in Rawat.
