LAHORE, July 15: Pakistan’s Australian fielding coach Trevor Chappell said Monday that the fielding standard of Pakistan and India was not satisfactory.

Chappell who started his assignment with the Pakistan team to improve its fielding told Dawn that both teams of the subcontinent needed to work harder in this particular area. He however singled out Sri Lanka, as having improved its fielding and performing better than Pakistan and India.

Chappell who is on a month ’s contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board would impart training to the national team. He has to spend one week each in three regional academies, training youngsters. He has completed his stint at Muridke, and will now proceed to Rawalpindi, and Peshawar.

Surprisingly, he will not be visiting the fourth regional academy in Karachi.
