KARACHI: KU buses remain off roads

KARACHI, July 15: The University of Karachi on Monday did not allow its buses to ply, citing security reasons after commencement of second semester classes.

A spokesman for the university claimed that on the previous day the KU security personnel arrested two persons who disclosed that they had planned to hijack point buses.

Following the arrest, the KU administration deferred the scheduled plying of the buses and took strict security measures to thwart any untoward incident on the campus.—PPI
