KARACHI: Two killed in city

KARACHI, Nov 3: A man committed suicide in Garden police limits on Saturday.

Sarfraz Ali, aged 40, strangled himself with a rope, reportedly, because of frequent quarrels over domestic matters in his family.

KILLED: Two men were found murdered in the city on Saturday.

A young man was found dead with his throat slit in Gadap. The dead man was identified as Deen Mohammed. The police sent the body to a mortuary for post- mortem. The motive for the killing could not be ascertained immediately.

A man was found dead with injuries on his body caused by an axe, in Zaman Town. Edhi volunteers, who took the body to a mortuary for post-mortem, said the dead man had suspected marks of injury on his body. He was identified as Lal Mohammed, who sold cold drinks in Memon Goth.

PRISONER DIES: A prisoner, Mukhtar, aged 40, died in the Central Jail on Saturday. Edhi volunteers, who took the body from the prison to a mortuary for post-mortem, said the prisoner died of an illness. However, the exact cause of death could be ascertained after the autopsy report was received.

ROBBERIES: Six robberies were committed in the city on Saturday, the police said.

Bandits robbed Majid of cash and gold jewellery in Baloch Colony. Robbers barged into a textile mill in SITE, loaded bags of yarns on a truck and drove the truck away.

Mohammed Aman lodged a complaint at Kharadar police station that bandits robbed him of cash and travellers’ cheques.

Bandits dashed into the house of Naveed Ahmed in PIB Colony and looted valuables.

Dacoits raided the house of Ashfaq Ahmed in North Nazimabad and looted cash.

Bandits deprived Sarfraz of cash and gold jewellery sets in his house in SITE.
