MANSEHRA, July 13: The Oghi Tehsil Council has unveiled its budget of Rs 4.7 million with a deficit of Rs150,000 for 2002-2003.
The Tehsil Nazim, Laiq Mohammed Khan, presented the budget and the convener of the house Khawaj Mohammad Khan Tanoli presided over the session.
Giving details of the budget, the Tehsil Nazim said an income of Rs3,450,000 was expected from the local funds, whereas, Rs116,000 will be received from the provincial government under the head of Zila Tax.
He said all the income would be distributed equally among the 11 union councils of Oghi Tehsil. Laiq Khan said Rs30 million is also expected for a number of uplift schemes under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme.
He said the spade work had been started on the construction of tubewells for the water supply schemes of Oghi, Shergar and Darband. The four members of the house Dr Wajid, Malik Nazir, Abdus Sadiq and Abdur Rehman boycotted the budget session.
The council member Mohammad Yousaf Tanoli and others took part in the debate on the budget which was finally approved by the majority of the members.
