7 injured in attack on clinic

NAWABSHAH, July 11: Seven persons were injured in an attempt to save a doctor during an attack on his clinic in Daur town.

Some 15 Chandio tribesmen attacked the clinic of Dr Habib Ahmad Shah with clubs and axes. The injured included Fazal Shah, Anwar Shah, Abdullah Shah, Izhar Shah, Mohiuddin Shah and Abdul Qadir Shah.

The injured were taken to a hospital.

The police registered an FIR against Maula Bux, Hakim, Shaman, Sattar, Akbar and Rab Nawaz, all Chandio by caste, and arrested two of the nominated persons, Rab Nawaz and Akbar.
