KARACHI, July 10: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, will hold poster and essay writing competitions separately on behalf of Pakistan Science Foundation, Islamabad, in September.

According to a BSE press release, students of Class IX and X at government and private secondary schools, which are recognized by the BSE, can participate in the said competitions. Entries for poster competition and applications for the essay competition can be submitted till Aug 31.

The topic of the essay competitions, which would be held in Urdu, English and Sindhi separately on Sept 10, 11 and 12, is: “Advances in communication in the 21st century.

In the case of poster competition, heads of schools are required to certify that the poster had been prepared by the students themselves and only one poster prepared by the students be sent to the BSE. Each school is allowed to send three posters, while the three best posters selected by a committee would be sent to Pakistan Science Foundation which might consider those for prizes in subsequent inter board contest.
