Euro eases

LONDON, July 10: The euro shied away from parity with the dollar on Wednesday as the greenback found support from a relatively stable US stock market. The single currency was trading at 0.9880 dollars in late-day deals, after reaching 0.9969 dollars earlier in the day and against 0.9931 late on Tuesday.

The dollar meanwhile climbed to 118.05 yen from 117.97 yen on Tuesday.

The euro was changing hands at 0.9880 dollars against 0.9931 on Tuesday, 116.60 yen (117.97), 0.6385 (0.6411) and 1.4720 Swiss francs (1.4731).—AFP
