KARACHI, July 9: Three workmen of a contractor died and another was seriously injured in a fire at National Refinery on Tuesday.

A press release of the NRL said about 6pm a fire broke out in a plant at the refinery which that was already shutdown and under maintenance.

The fire was put out immediately, but by then a contractor’s four workmen working inside a furnace were trapped in the fire and they suffered serious burns.

They were rushed to a hospital where three of them died. They were Zawwar Husain, Abdul Ghaffar and Shaukat Ali. Sabir Shah was in the hospital.
