PESHAWAR, July 9: The city police have planned to introduce a computer system to facilitate people to lodge their complaints through emails.

The plan came under discussion at a meeting between Senior Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Akhtar Hayat Gandapur and a team of Iqra University students headed by its project director Obaid-ur-Rehman, held at the Police Lines here on Tuesday.

According to the plan, the Iqra University students will help create a software for the police department on the basis of latest developments and technology.

The Iqra students apprised the SSP that a database of criminals would also be developed which would facilitate the police in investigation.

Construction of database of finger-prints and photographs of the criminals were also discussed during the meeting.
