KARACHI, July 9: The Sindh Cabinet on Monday decided to export 0.1 million tons of wheat in view of better build up of wheat reserves in Sindh.

The cabinet meeting held at Sindh Secretariat was attended by Sindh ministers, the chief secretary, K.B. Rind and concerned secretaries.

The governor at the welcomed the newly-inducted ministers and the appointment of Mr Rind as new the chief secretary.

Chief Secretary K.B. Rind said that the administration would provide all possible help for the attainment of desired objectives. He said complete harmony and cooperation will be ensured while working as a joint team.

While reviewing the wheat availability and reserves in the province, the cabinet called for their safe preservation and timely use. In this regard, decision was taken for expediting the sale of surplus wheat.

In order to determine the prices as per market force and ensure transparent sale of wheat, the cabinet decided the formation of a sub- committee to be headed by the finance minister.—APP
