KARACHI: Psychiatry moot

KARACHI, July 5: Pakistan Psychiatric Society and the Psychiatry Department of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre will jointly organize a Psychiatry Symposium on July 7, 2002, at Hotel Pearl-Continental.

The event marks the 75th birthday of Prof Zaki Hassan who pioneered the transfer of psychiatry from the forbidden walls of mental hospitals to the corridors of general and teaching hospitals.

The day-long programme will last from 10am to 6pm and comprise four scientific sessions, besides inaugural and concluding sessions.—PPI
