NAWABSHAH, July 4: Members of the Shehri Ittehad, Sakrand, along with the citizens took out a protest rally against the construction of a shopping centre at Latif Park on Thursday.

The rally started from the Chandio petrol pump, National Highway, and stopped at Sahafi Chowk.

The protestors carrying placards and banners raised slogans against the construction of the shopping centre at Latif Park.

They were led by Mohammed Hussain, the president, Shehri Ittehad, Mohammed Yousuf Memon, Qamar Buriro, and Noor Ahmed Lakho, president, PPP, Sakrand town.

They demanded the district government to immediately revoke the decision and cancel the construction of the shopping centre.

Later a delegation of the Shehri Ittehad met the District Coordination Officer, Nawabshah, in his office.

The Taluka Nazim and the Naib Nazim were also present there.

The president, Shehri Ittehad (Sakrand), told this correspondent that the Taluka Nazim, Sakrand, Javed Rahu, had agreed to cancel the orders of construction of the shopping centre.
