KARACHI, July 4: Twenty-one vehicles — ten cars and 11 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, the police said.

Six cars were hijacked in Korangi, Steel Town and North Nazimabad. Four others were stolen in Saddar, Defence Housing Authority, Nazimabad, and Samanabad.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked in Nazimabad, Shah Faisal Colony, North Nazimabad, SITE and KDA Scheme No 1. Four others were stolen in Frere, Korangi, Azizabad, TPX, and Buffer Zone.

The police also claimed on Thursday to have recovered three stolen cars (ACQ-522, ABK-176, ACE-924) and one motorcycle (HDG-3717).

ARRESTS: The police arrested on Thursday 18 suspects for their alleged involvement in criminal activities and recovered nine pistols, one revolver, 1.2kgs of charas, 13 grams of heroin powder, and stolen property.
