SHIKARPUR, July 3: The activists of the Pakistan People’s Party staged a demonstration and blocked the National Highway near Sultankot against the arrest of the party leader Agha Tariq.

The protesters termed the arrest a conspiracy, hatched to malign the PPP’s image in Shikarpur district.

The protesters chanted slogans against the National Accountability Bureau and demanded release of the arrested leader.

Wahid Bukhsh Bhayo, member of the PPP, Sindh council, Agha Siraj Durrani, Amir Bukhsh Bhutto and other PPP leaders criticized the arrest.
