WASHINGTON, July 1: Security staff at 32 major US airports missed one quarter of all fake weapons that undercover government agents tried to smuggle through last month, a report said Monday.
In Las Vegas, Cincinnati and Jacksonville, airport screeners failed in at least half of all tests carried out by the new Transportation Security Administration.
And at Los Angeles International Airport the failure rate was 41 per cent, USA Today newspaper reported. Agents did little to conceal the fake guns and bombs, said the report.—dpa
