Five cops booked as UTP escapes

MIRPURKHAS, Nov 1: Five constables of Samaro police have been booked on Wednesday following the escape of an under trial prisoner (UTP) from their custody in the premises of the judicial magistrate court, Samaro.

Report said that few days ago, a party of Samaro police brought nine under trial prisoners from the Hyderabad central jail and the district prison, Mirpurkhas, for hearing in the court of judicial magistrate of Samaro, where one of the under trial prisoner, Ashraf Khaskheli, managed to escape.

A case has been registered under section 223 PCC against constable Mohammad Sarwar, Mohammad Ismail, Mohammad Rafique, Shaukat Ali and Khuda Bux with the Samaro police.

SUICIDE: A villager, Narayan Meghwar, 27, committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree in village Werhar, near Diplo taluka, on Thursday. The cause behind suicide is said to be a protracted illness.

ARRESTED: Five persons were arrested in a raid at a gambling den in Naukot on Thursday.
