MIRPURKHAS, June 26: Mirpurkhas Taluka Nazim Syed Inayat Ali Shah presented Rs96.218 million budget, with a surplus of Rs0.367 million, before the taluka council here on Wednesday for fiscal year 2002-2003.

While unveiling the budget, Mr Shah said the taluka council would have an income of Rs96.218 million and total expenses would be Rs95.851 million.

Mentioning expected income for 2000-2003, the taluka Nazim said the revenue income would be Rs75.035 million and the capital income would be Rs21.183 million. The expected expenses would be Rs75.851 million in the head of revenue and Rs20 million would be in the head of capital expenses.

He said Rs48.895 million would be received as share of auction from the federal government, Rs9.108 million from different taxes, Rs7.828 million from rent of shops and other properties and Rs2.805 million would be received from other sources.

He said a commercial complex would be constructed at vacant places of old Raja Mir Zaman Bus Stand, Khipro Bus Stand and old Musafirkhana to increase the income of the council.

The budget meeting was presided over by Naib Nazim Javed Ahmad Papa.
