PESHAWAR, June 26: NWFP Minister for Information and Education Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani has said departments of microbiology have been opened in two of the three recently-established public universities in the province in view of the importance of the discipline.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Fourth International Biennial Conference of the Pakistan Society for Microbiology at the NWFP Agriculture University, Peshawar, he said that in the universities of Hazara and Malakand, the department of microbiology had been established.
